MT STORM 8.2005 - 5.2006 JIMMY. drums, noise, vocals - HAYES. bass, flute, vocals - BRIAN. guitar, tambourine *MT STORM to record 8 songs 44min. - summer 2006 MT STORM has invested itself in the clash of 70's prog rock and contemporary hard rock/metal, with a touch of electronics thrown in. Attempts to chanel the ferocity of King Crimson's live performance of 21st Century Schitzoid Man from their Earthbound live record, has brought MT STORM to a place that shifts between genres. Like their contemporaries Boris (Japan), stylistic shifts are encouraged and propagated by angular guitar riffs that twist like Don Cab one moment, and bathe you in Sabbath the next. MT STORM aims at just that, a huge cloud of textural shifts. Their viewer is meant to rise from acute focus to bottom-out in droning calm.

The Awakening 7.2000 - 8.2002 JIMMY. drums, vocals - DENNIS. guitar, vocals - MATT. bass, vocals The Awakening pummeled the midwest for two straight years. They found their voice from the environmental devestation of south-eastern Ohio, and the shifting paradigm of post-911. Dennis' post-apocalyptic lyrics were on par with 80's era metal, and their guitar riffs are soaked with palm muted gallops. The Awakening utilized the complexity of metal compositions, paired with the rawness of Japanese and Swedish punk. After touring the USA twice, playing nearly 90 shows in two years, and releasing three 7" eps, The Awakening called it quits. Jimmy pursued art and new musical ventures (shown above), Dennis has played in Winds of Saturn, Dismal, and currently Black Dove. Matt has bounced back and forth from Germany, finished school, and currently plays with Pretty Weapons.
